Ever felt tempted to take out a loan to invest in cryptocurrency? A French airline cabin-crew member living in Abu Dhabi took the plunge by taking out a $100,000 loan (367,000 dirham) last year looking to break into the cryptocurrency world. Through a work WhatsApp group, he heard about this treasure and figured it was safe to go and explore. At first he invested a little of his own money and was able to get back 300-400 percent in profit. This inspired the man to get a loan from a bank and try to replicate the same success as he did with his own money. He invested into Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP), Stellar (XLM) and NEO (NEO).
All seemed okay at first when he saw an initial profit of $30,000. For some reason, he decided to use the advice from WhatsApp and continued treading along instead of cashing out. Now he’s on the hook for the loan, which eats up the majority of his monthly salary. This is by far one of the most interesting approaches towards investing in the digital currency marketplace.
