Jason Jones, Editor in Chief

Jason Jones is Editor in Chief of CoinageReport. He sets the editorial standard the site is held to, decides what runs, and is accountable for every figure published here.

What that accountability means in practice

Every measurement published on this site states its source, the exact endpoint or register it came from, and the date it was pulled. Every flagship carries three sections that most crypto publishing leaves out: how the number was produced, what the data does not show, and what would change the conclusion. Where a piece cannot carry all three, it does not run as research. Where a claim cannot be sourced, it does not run at all.

That standard is enforced rather than aspired to. Figures are re-checked against the source before publication, measurements are re-run on a schedule at the same URL with a revision date and a changelog line, and corrections are made in public rather than quietly. The full method is on the About page.

Bylines

Most articles are published under “The CoinageReport Desk.” That is an editorial byline rather than a pseudonym for one writer: it means the piece was researched, its figures independently re-checked against source, and reviewed before publication. Bylined pieces carry the name of the person who did the work. Either way, editorial responsibility for what appears on this site rests with the Editor in Chief.

What we do not do

We do not publish price predictions, we do not do breaking-news reporting, and we do not accept payment for editorial coverage or for placement in any ranking. Advertising is sold and served independently of editorial, no advertiser sees a piece before publication, and affiliate relationships are disclosed on the article that carries them. Nothing on this site is investment, tax or legal advice.

Corrections and contact

Corrections, editorial complaints and challenges to any figure on this site reach the Editor in Chief directly at corrections@coinagereport.com. If we have published something a primary source contradicts, we want to know, and we will say so publicly when we fix it. General enquiries go through the contact page.
