Markets

Live prices, 24h moves, market cap, and volume across the top digital assets.

10 assets

This page carries a price table for the largest crypto assets by market capitalization, together with the twenty-four-hour and seven-day change, reported volume and a market-wide sentiment reading. It is a reference tool, not a piece of research, and it is worth being precise about what it does and does not tell you before you use it for anything.

How the table is built

Price, market capitalization, volume and both change figures come from CoinGecko. They are requested by an endpoint on this site rather than by your browser calling CoinGecko directly, and the response is cached for sixty seconds before it is fetched again, so a figure on screen can be a minute older than the source and the source carries its own lag on top of that. The sentiment dial is the Fear and Greed index published by Alternative.me, which moves once a day. Two things in the table are not readings from that feed. Market capitalization is price multiplied by an estimate of circulating supply, which is modeled rather than observed and differs between providers. The table also carries no seven-day chart. It used to: a small line in the final column that was a shape derived from the percentage change rather than a plot of the week’s prices. We removed it in August 2026 rather than let a drawn line imply a history we were not showing. The seven-day figure that remains is the percentage move reported by the source.

What these numbers are not

They are not a measurement. Reported volume in particular is the weakest figure on the page: it is self-assessed, there is no independent settlement layer to check it against, and when we tried to build a concentration statistic on top of it the exercise failed, which we published in full in our note on exchange market share. Circulating supply estimates carry their own assumptions, and two reputable providers will give you two different market capitalizations for the same asset on the same day. Treat the ordering as broadly right and the decimal places as decoration.

Nothing on this page is investment advice, a recommendation, or a forecast. We do not publish price predictions and we do not tell readers what to buy, hold or sell. A price is a fact about the last trade; it is not information about the future.

Where we do the actual counting

Live prices are the least interesting thing about this market, because they are the one number everybody already has. The work we care about is measurement that can be reproduced from public ledgers: how concentrated stablecoin issuance is, how many pools build Bitcoin blocks, how much spot volume actually settles on-chain. Those pieces state their method, their pull date and what the data does not show. Start with stablecoins, Bitcoin mining pool concentration or on-chain trading volume.

If a number here looks wrong

It might be. If the upstream call fails, the page serves the last figures we successfully retrieved, marks them stale and prints the time they were pulled; if there is nothing good to serve, the cells show a dash and the status line reads offline. Nothing on this page is ever generated locally to fill a gap. A thinly traded asset can also print a price no venue would fill at size. If you spot something that does not reconcile against the exchange you use, tell us at corrections@coinagereport.com and we will check it and say so publicly if we got it wrong. Our full method and correction policy is on the About page.
